1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website (ananselabs.org), using the Ananse Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, or connecting any associated GPT integrations, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Ananse Labs is a non-profit research organisation. We provide tools, APIs, and model context integrations (e.g. connecting tools to ChatGPT) that allow automated systems to interface with African logistics, utility, and payment environments (including SMS, airtime, momo disburse, bank transfers, and food ordering integrations via BulkClix).

3. User Authentication & Authorization

Certain high-consequence tools (such as wallet balance lookups, mobile money disbursements, or bank transfers) are gated and require valid credentials. You agree to:

• Authenticate securely via Auth0 or other approved OAuth 2.1 procedures.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Guard your access tokens and client secrets; you are solely responsible for all actions executed using your credentials.

4. External Purchases & Compliance

Our tools and GPT integrations may direct you out of ChatGPT to make purchases or complete payment operations. We do not facilitate direct purchases of digital goods, services, or subscriptions inside ChatGPT.

All payment and transactional activity facilitated through our integrations must comply with applicable local and international laws, including anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) rules, consumer protection laws, and sanctions regulations. We do not support or facilitate payments for prohibited goods or services.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

All tools and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Ananse Labs does not warrant that the integrations will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure, and disclaims all liability for any transaction failures or financial losses arising from the use of third-party payment APIs.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Accra, Ghana.
